Tyre Lettering Removal

Method 1:

In some cases, you may want to remove the tyre lettering. To do this you will need to purchase an adhesive De-Bonder

STEP 1: Shake bottle well before use

STEP 2: Apply the De-Bonder around the edge of the lettering and let the solution penetrate into the adhesive for 1 hour. Ideally you want to create a barrier trapping the de-bonder so it doesn't run off the tyre.

STEP 3: Scrape away the glue and sticker from the tyre, in some cases you might need to apply more solution. If done correctly, the adhesive should turn into a gum-like consistency.

If you are reapplying Tyre Decals, clean the area well with Acetone or Isopropyl Alcohol, otherwise our Adhesive won’t work.

NOTICE: Avoid immediately pulling the rubber decal off the tire, as it could harm the sidewall. For secure removal, kindly wait and use a de-bonder to loosen the adhesive and make the process of removing it smoother.

Method 2:

We can safely remove the tyre decals from your tyre at a cost of £120+VAT per hour, we have found simply grinding the tyre decal off from the tyre is the safest method of removal. During this process we will remove the wheel from the car, grind off the decals, clean the tyre and then re-install your wheel.

This product is thixotropic and in the bottle, the material can seem to be solid, this is not the case, when agitated it will revert to a fluid (if left standing, tap the bottle before using. If the nozzle is blocked remove the nozzle). The reason for the material being ‘thixotropic’ is when dispensed it will revert from a fluid state back to a gel, this is so the De-Bonder remains in place on the ‘adhesive’, a fluid would run off and the material needs to stay in situ for it to work. No flammable solvent or water in the material.

Works by swelling the adhesive into a gum-like consistency making the adhesive easy to remove.
